சந்தோஷமாய் இருப்பது எப்படி?


வினா: எமது திருப்பணிகளில் நாம் சந்தோஷத்தை அனுபவிக்க வேண்டுமெனில் எப்படியான திருப்பணி மாதிரிகளை எம்மால் உருவாக்கிக் கொள்ள முடியும்?

விடை: அருமையான திருப்பணியாளர்களே, எமது வாழ்வில் நாம் பல வருடங்கள் திருப்பணியில் ஈடுபட்டு வருகிறோம். எனினும், சந்தோஷம் அற்ற முறையில் எமது பணிகளை நாங்கள் தொடர வேண்டிய சூழல் காணப்படுகின்றது. உண்மையில் எமது சந்தோஷம் பணியாளர்களாக இன்னுமொருவரால் தரக்கூடியதொன்றல்ல. மாறாக, நாமே எமது சந்தோஷத்தை உருவாக்கிக்கொள்ள வேண்டும். அது எமக்குள்ளே காணப்படுகின்றது. அதற்கு நாமே புத்துயிர் கொடுக்க அழைக்கப்படுகின்றோம். எமது தனிப்பட்ட வாழ்வில் ஏற்படும் அனுபவங்களால் அல்லது நிறைவுகளால் நாம் மகிழ்வடைவதைவிட மாறாக சமுதாயத்திற்கு எம்மால் வழங்கப்பட்ட பங்களிப்புக்களை நினைத்து நாம் மகிழ்வடைய வேண்டும். 

சமூகப்பணியிலும் சமூகப்செயற்பாட்டிலும் உண்மை, நீதி, ஒப்புரவாகல், அன்பு போன்ற நற்பண்புகளை உயிர் அடையச் செய்வதில் எங்களுடைய பங்களிப்புக்களை இன்னும் அதிகமாக நாம் வழங்குவதற்கு அழைக்கப்படுகின்றோம். இவ்வாறாக சமூகத்துக்கு வழங்கப்படும் எமது பங்களிப்பினால் நாம் திருப்பணியின் நிறைவிலோ அல்லது எமது பணியின் மீளாய்வு செயற்பாட்டிலோ எம்மால் சந்தோஷமாக கணக்கிட முடியும். நாம் ஆசீர்வாதங்களை அல்ல மாறாக துன்பங்களை கணக்கிடுவதே எமது திருமுழுக்கின் அழைப்பாகும்.

How to be happy?

Question: If we want to experience happiness in our ministry, how can we create a model of ministry that allows us to do so?

Answer: Dear ministers, we have been engaged in ministry for many years. Yet, there are times when we find ourselves continuing our work without experiencing joy. In reality, our happiness cannot be given to us by someone else. Instead, we must create our own happiness. It is something that comes from within us. We are called to breathe new life into it. Rather than finding joy in personal experiences or accomplishments, we should find joy in the contributions we make to the community.

In our social work and activities, we are called to contribute more by bringing to life virtues like truth, justice, reconciliation, and love. Through the impact we make in society, we can find joy, whether in the fulfillment of our ministry or through the reflection on the work we do. We are called not to count blessings, but to count the challenges we face in fulfilling our calling.
