பணியின் இலக்கு

வினா: எமது திருப்பணியில் நாம் எத்தகைய இலக்குகளைக் கொண்டிருக்க வேண்டும்? 

விடை: மனித வாழ்வில் ஒவ்வொருவரும் இலக்குள்ளவர்களாக வாழுகின்றார்கள். பாடசாலை மாணவனை எடுத்துக்கொண்டால் அதிகப் புள்ளிகளைப் பெற்று முன்னேறிச் செல்ல வேண்டுமென்பது அவருடைய இலக்கு. எனவே, திருப்பணியாளர்களாக எம்முடைய இலக்கு என்ன என்பதை நாம் உணர்ந்துகொள்ள அழைக்கப்படுகின்றோம். 

முதலாவதாக எமது அழைப்பு கடவுளுடைய அருளினால் எம் ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் கிடைத்துள்ளது. இதற்கு நாம் தகுதியுள்ளவர்கள் அல்ல. மாறாக, ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் தகுதி நிலைக்குள் உட்படுத்தப்படுகின்றோம் என்பதே உண்மையாகும். எனவே, இது ஓர் பிழைப்பு அல்ல மாறாக அழைப்பென்பதை உணரவேண்டும். 

இரண்டாவதாக எமது அழைப்புக்கள் சிலுவை மையத்திலே காணப்படுகின்றன. அதாவது மற்றவர்களின் நன்மைக்காக நாம் ஒவ்வொருவரும் தெரிந்தெடுக்கின்ற துன்பக் கிண்ணங்களே எமது சிலுவை அனுபவமாகும். மாறாக, இந்நாட்களில் சிலுவை அனுபவத்தை நாம் தொலைத்துவிட்டு சலுகையின் அனுபவங்களை நாம் அரவணைக்க முற்பட்டுக் கொண்டிருப்பதை நாங்கள் காணலாம். எனவே பணியாளர்களாகிய எமது இலக்கு சிலுவையை தவிர சலுகைகள் அல்ல.

மூன்றாவதாக எமது பணியின் இலக்கு சேவை நோக்கமுள்ளவர்களாக எம்மை நாங்களே உருவாக்கிக் கொள்வதாகும். அதாவது பணியைச் செய்வதே தவிர பணிகொள்வது அல்ல. மேலும், ஊழியம் செய்யவே மானிடமகன் இவ்வுலகிற்குள் வந்திருக்கின்றார். எனவே, இவ் இலக்குகளைக் கொண்டு நாம் பணியாற்றுகின்றபோது இறைவன் எதிர்ப்பார்க்கும் பணியை நாம் மக்களுக்கு வழங்கவும் அதனால் மக்கள் இறையூக்கம் பெறவும், இறையரசின் விழுமியங்கள் பூமியிலே கட்டப்படவும் கடவுள் எங்கள் ஒவ்வொருவரையும் தமது கருவிகளாக பயன்படுத்துவார். 

Purpose of Ministry

Question: What kind of goals should we have in our ministry?

Answer: In human life, everyone lives with a purpose. Take, for example, a school student—their goal is to score high marks and progress further. In the same way, as ministers, we are called to recognize what our goal is.

Firstly, our calling is something that we have received through God's grace. We are not worthy of it. Rather, the truth is that we are being made worthy each and every day. Therefore, we must realize that this is not merely a profession, but a calling.

Secondly, our calling is centered on the cross. That means the sufferings we willingly choose to bear for the good of others are our experiences of the cross. However, in these times, we seem to have lost the experience of the cross and instead are leaning toward experiences of comfort. Thus, our goal as ministers should not be comfort, but the cross.

Thirdly, the goal of our ministry is to become people with a heart for service. That means not just performing work, but serving with humility and love. Moreover, the Son of Man came into this world to serve. Therefore, when we carry out our ministry with these goals, God will use each one of us as His instruments—to deliver the ministry He desires to the people, to inspire them toward God, and to establish the values of God's kingdom on earth.
