வெற்றியான திருப்பணியா? உண்மையான திருப்பணியா?
வினா: திருப்பணியாளர்கள் மத்தியில் வெற்றியான திருப்பணியைத் தெரிவுசெய்வதா இல்லையேல் உண்மையான திருப்பணியைத் தெரிவுசெய்வதா?
விடை: நாம் வாழும் சூழலிலே இன்று பலவகையான திருப்பணிகள் எம்மிடையே காணப்படுகின்றன. இந்த திருப்பணிகளின் மத்தியிலே பணியாளர்களாகிய நாங்கள் வெற்றியுள்ள முறையில் திருப்பணிகளை ஆற்றுவதா இல்லையேல் உண்மையான முறையில் திருப்பணிகளை ஆற்றுவதா என்பது மிகப் பெரிய நெருக்கடியை எமக்குத் தருகின்றது. பொதுவாகவே எமது திருப்பணிகளில் வெற்றியான திருப்பணிகளையே நாங்கள் நாடுகின்றோம்.
குறிப்பாக, ஒரு திருச்சபையை நாம் பொறுப்பெடுக்கும்போது அங்கு பிரதம ஆயர் எமது திருச்சபைக்கு வருகைத் தரும்போது திருச்சபை பதிவேட்டையே அவர் முதலில் பார்ப்பார். அதற்கூடாக இத்திருச்சபையில் புதிதாக எத்தனை அங்கத்தவர்கள் திருமுழுக்கினூடாக இணைந்துள்ளார்கள் என அவதானிப்பார். மேலும் இத்திருச்சபைக்கு எப்படியான முறையில் பணம் வந்து கிடைக்கின்றது. சந்தாப்பணம் கொடுப்பவர்களின் விபரங்கள் எவை? அத்துடன் கட்டடப்பணிகள் எந்தளவில் மேற்கொள்ளப்படுகின்றன போன்ற அடையாளங்களையே அவர் கருத்திற்கொள்வர். இவைகள் ஓர் வெற்றியுள்ள திருப்பணியை அளவீடு செய்கின்ற கருவிகள் ஆகும். எனினும், உண்மையான திருப்பணியை அளவீடு செய்வது ஓர் தகைமை அடிப்படையில் இருக்கின்ற ஒரு எண்ணக்கருவாகக் காணப்படுகின்றது.
உண்மையான திருப்பணி என்பது அது அங்கத்தவர்களின் எண்ணிக்கையிலோ, பண அதிகரிப்பின் எண்ணிக்கையிலோ, கட்டடங்களின் எண்ணிக்கையிலோ தங்கியிருப்பதில்லை மாறாக
இறையாட்சிக்குரிய விழுமியங்களின் அடித்தளத்திலே இறையாட்சியைக் கட்டுகின்ற முயற்சியிலும் ஒவ்வொரு தனிமனிதனை கட்டியெழுப்புகின்ற முயற்சியிலும் ஈடுபடுவதே உண்மையான திருப்பணியாகும்.
எனவே வெற்றியுள்ள திருப்பணியைக் களைந்து உண்மையான திருப்பணியை மேற்கொள்ளுவதில் நாம் அனைவரும் அயராது பாடுபடுவோமாக.
A Successful Ministry or a True Ministry?
Question: Among ministers, is it better to choose a successful ministry or a true ministry?
Answer: In the environment we live in today, we encounter many kinds of ministries. Among these, we as ministers often face a great dilemma: should we carry out ministries that are deemed “successful,” or should we pursue those that are “true”? Generally, we tend to seek ministries that appear successful. For example, when we are entrusted with the responsibility of a church, during the visit of a bishop, the first thing he will likely look at is the church's register. He will also take note of how many new members have joined the church through baptism. Additionally, he will consider how finances are managed within the church—details of those who give offerings and how much is collected. Moreover, he will observe the progress of building projects and other such signs. These are typically used as tools to measure the success of a ministry.
However, true ministry is measured from a different perspective—a perspective rooted in spiritual integrity. True ministry is not based on the number of members, the increase in financial contributions, or the expansion of buildings.
Rather, it is grounded in the values of God's Kingdom. It is the effort to build the Kingdom of God on a foundation of divine principles and to nurture each individual person in spiritual growth. This is what constitutes a true ministry.
Therefore, let us not chase after mere success, but instead strive, without growing weary, to carry out true ministry.
