ஆணாதிக்கமோ ஆளுகை ஆதிக்கமோ வேண்டாம்

வினா: எமது திருப்பணிகளில் நாம் அனுபவிக்கும் பல அனுபவங்களில் எதிரான ஒரு அனுபவமாக விளங்குவது ஆதிக்கங்களாகும். இவற்றிலிருந்து எவ்வாறு நாம் மனமாற்றம் அடைவது?

விடை: எமது திருப்பணிகளில் பல்வேறுபட்ட நிலைகளில் நாம் ஆதிக்கவாதிகளாக மாறுவதை எம்மால் சில சந்தர்ப்பங்களில் உணர்ந்துகொள்ள முடிகிறது. மாறாக பல சந்தர்ப்பங்களில் உணர்ந்துகொள்ள முடியாத சூழ்நிலைகளும் காணப்படுவதை நாம் அறிந்துகொள்ளலாம். குறிப்பாக, திருச்சபைகளில் ஆணாதிக்க சக்திகளாக நாம் பலவேளைகளில் மாறுகின்றோம். இதனால் பெண்களின் உரிமைகள், பெண்களின் மனித மாண்புகள், பெண்களின் அடையாளங்கள் போன்றவைகள் பாதிக்கப்படுகின்றன. 

வெறுமனே ஆண்கள் மாத்திரம் ஆணாதிக்க சிந்தனை உள்ளவர்களாக அல்ல.

மாறாக சில பெண்கள் பெண்களுக்கு எதிராக ஆணாதிக்க சிந்தனைகளை காவிச் செல்லுகின்ற ஊடகங்களாக இருப்பதும் வேதனைக்குரியதொன்றாகும். 

சிறப்பாக, நாம் பார்க்கும்போது திருஅவைகளில் அவர்கள் உள்வாங்கப்பட முடியாத நிலைகள் காணப்படுகின்றது. சில திருஅவைகளில் நற்செய்தி வாசகம் வாசிக்க பெண்களுக்கு அனுமதி கிடைப்பதில்லை. பலிபீடத்தில் அருட்சாதனைகளை பரிமாறிக் கொள்ளவும். 

பலிபீடப்பணியாளர்களாக அமர்த்தப்படவும் வாய்ப்புக்கள் குறைவாகவே வழங்கப்படுவதை நாம் காணலாம். இப்பேர்ப்பட்ட ஆதிக்க சிந்தனைகள் இன்றும் வளர்க்கப்படுகின்றன. மாறாக எம்மிடையே காணப்படும் ஆளுகை ஆதிக்க முறைமைகள் எல்லோரையும் பொதுவாக பாதிக்கின்ற ஓர் ஆதிக்க முறைமையாகும். இந்த ஆதிக்க முறைமைகள் சாதியத்திலிருந்தோ, குடும்ப பிண்ணனிகளில் இருந்தோ மேலோங்கி வருவதை நாம் அவதானிக்கலாம். மற்றும் பொருளாதார துறையை எடுத்துக்கொண்டால் செல்வந்தர் பணக்காரர் என்ற ஆதிக்க வேறுபாடுகள் அதிகம் காணப்படுகின்றன. 

திருச்சபைக்குள்ளும் இந்த ஆதிக்க வேறுபாடுகள் வளர்க்கப்படுகின்றன. சிறப்பாக ஒரு சில உயர் வர்க்கத்தினர் தாழ்ந்த திருபணியாளர்களுடன் தமது கரங்களைக் குலுக்கக்கூட மறுப்புத் தெரிவிக்கின்றார்கள். எனவே, இந்த ஆதிக்க சக்திகள் எம்மிடையே பிரிவினைகளை ஏற்படுத்துகின்றன. 

இவற்றிலிருந்து நாம் வெளிவர விரும்பினால் கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவின் மனநிலை எமக்குள் உருவாக்க வேண்டும் என பவுல் பேசுகிறார் (பிலிப்பியர் 2:5,6). இம்மனநிலையே தாழ்மையின் மனநிலை ஆகும். அவர் அடிமையின் தாழ்மையின் ரூபமெடுத்து மனித சாயலானார். இதனைப் பிலிப்பயிர் 2:11லே படிக்கலாம். மேலும் இவ் அடிமையின் தாழ்மையின் ரூபத்தை யோவான் 13:1-10ல், இயேசு தமது சீடர்களின் பாதங்களை கழுவுவதன் ஊடாக வெளிப்படுத்துவதை எம்மால் உணரமுடிகின்றது. 

எனவே எமது திருப்பணிகளில் ஆதிக்க அதிகார சக்திகளுக்கு விலகியோடி தாழ்மையின் ஆவியை அணிகலன்காக கொண்டிருப்பது ஒற்றுமையை ஏற்படுத்தவும், பணியில் காணப்படும் பிரிவினைகளை அகற்றவும், பணி பற்றிய தெளிவான உணர்வை எமக்குள்ளே வளர்க்;கும் இயேசுவின் உண்மைச் சீடர்களாக மாறவும் எங்களால் முடியும்.

Question:

One of the painful realities we experience in our ministries is the presence of domination and authoritarian attitudes. How can we undergo transformation and free ourselves from these attitudes?

Answer:

In our ministries, we often become people who exercise domination in different ways. At times we are aware of it, while in many situations we fail to recognize it. Especially within the Church, we frequently become agents of patriarchal power. As a result, women’s rights, human dignity, and identity are affected and suppressed.

Patriarchal thinking is not carried only by men. Sadly, some women themselves also become instruments that carry and promote patriarchal ideologies against other women. In many churches, women are still not fully accepted or included. In certain churches, women are not permitted to read the Gospel passage. Opportunities for them to distribute the sacraments at the altar or serve as altar ministers are also very limited. Such oppressive attitudes continue to be nurtured even today.

Likewise, authoritarian systems of leadership affect everyone in general. These systems often arise from caste backgrounds, family status, or social privilege. In the economic sphere too, divisions based on wealth and social class are clearly visible. Unfortunately, such inequalities are also fostered within the Church. In some cases, members of higher social classes even refuse to shake hands with ministers from socially marginalized backgrounds. These oppressive powers create divisions among us.

If we truly desire to come out of these oppressive structures, Paul says that we must develop the mind of Christ within us (Philippians 2:5–6). This is the attitude of humility. Christ took the form of a servant and became human (Philippians 2:7–11). We also see this servant humility in John 13:1–10, where Jesus washes the feet of His disciples.

Therefore, in our ministries, we must move away from domination and authoritarian power and instead clothe ourselves with the spirit of humility. Such humility will help create unity, remove divisions in ministry, deepen our understanding of service, and enable us to become true disciples of Jesus Christ.
